About peeps:
I was chatting on MSN when my eyes were moved down to an image of heavenly marshmello goodness. It seems that the good people at MSN news or Slate have deemed peeps worthy of an article. Then agian with the 1 billion peeps sold yearly, I guess they might be right. Seeing as I ate about 35 of the 700 million peeps that will be consumed this easter myself in the past week I figured I might do an ode myself.
Peeps were first brought onto the market in 1953 and took 27 hours to make a single peep. Today thanks to the wonder of modern technology they are able to make a peep in 6 minutes. They now have an entire site devoted to the wonders that come in bright pink, soft lavender, cyan, white, or glowing yellow hues.
You can read more information on the these pagan wonders of sugar on the Slate article I read.

One of the links in the article leads to another article that teaches you how to roast peeps.

There has been an alarming increase in the amount of groups created with the express purpose of drawing attention to its members in ways that violate this community’s policy by automatically adding all works by members to its favorites. Members of these groups also participate in individual acts of system abuse by adding all work to their own favorites as well. To curb this, the following changes have been implemented and are effective immediately as of this posting:
New groups formed with the intent of abusing the favorites system will be banned immediately and permanently, as well as the deviants in charge of that particular group.
Any existing group that is found to be exploiting the system through abuse will also be banned immediately and permanently. Deviants who see this type of abuse going on are encouraged to submit a Help Desk Report, and the Policy Violation Administrators will see to it that the matter is researched accordingly.
In addition to the groups themselves being banned, any members of these groups could also face immediate administrative action. Knowingly participating in a group that encourages or engages in this type of conduct will warrant a ban.
While we do not discourage deviants from forming groups so that like-minded individuals may share art, experiences, and resources; we do expect that these groups abide by the policies in place. Let me reiterate this point: This only applies to groups that are abusing the favorites system.
These are not new rules. Abuse of this site and its policies has always resulted in administrative action. However, this news article will serve as a warning to those who are engaging in favorites system abuse. You have been warned.
